Here's How We Got Started
1997 - 2003
The Beginning
- Assembled our own brand of fire hoses (2000).
- Changed our name from UBE to Unique Fire Industry Sdn Bhd (“UFI”) and registered the trademarks for Commander and Yama brands fire hoses (2003).
2004 - 2006
SIRIM certification
- First SIRIM certification for 2 kg and 5 kg hand portable CO2 fire extinguishers (2005).
- Assembled hand portable CO2 fire extinguishers and CO2 fire suppression systems (2005).
- ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification (2006).
- Expanded distribution business operations and became the authorised distributor for The Viking Corporation (Far East) Pte Ltd (2006).
2007 - 2009
New Manufacturing Line
- UFI commenced and completed the construction of a facility on the 31/47 property and relocated the assembly operations from Bandar Kinrara, Puchong to this new premises (2008).
- SIRIM certification for 1 kg, 2 kg, 4 kg, 6 kg and 9 kg hand portable dry chemical fire extinguishers (2009).
- Completed the manufacturing line with the commencement of the manufacturing of hand portable dry chemical fire extinguishers at the 31/47 property (2009).
2010 - 2012
Expansion to Export Market
- Authorised distributor of Chang Der Fire Protection Corporation (2010).
- Exported Unique Fire’s products to Vietnam, the first export destination (2011).
2010 - 2012
New Premises
- Relocated the operations to our current premises at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam (2013).
2016- 2018
Certificate of Compliance
- UL certification for Unique227 HFC fire suppression systems (2016).
- Purchase order to supply fire suppression systems and equipment for 7 underground Mass Rapid Transit (”MRT”) Line 1 stations (2016).
- Conformed to UL procedures for HFC filling machine and nozzle drilling machine for Unique227 (2017).
- Assembled Unique227 HFC fire suppression systems (2017).
- Certificate of Product Acceptance (SGP) issued by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”) for Unique227 HFC fire suppression systems to supply the first Unique227 to TNB contractor (2018).
- Incorporated Unique Digital Innovation Sdn Bhd (“UDI”) and commenced operations to distribute custom graphics designed fire extinguishers (2018).
2019 - 2020
Incorporation of UDI
- UDI customized graphic design hand portable fire extinguishers (2019).
- Conformed to UL procedures for Kidde’s HFC filling machine and assembled Kidde’s HFC fire suppression systems (2019).
- Registered as importer and exporter of HFC products by the Department of Environment (2020).
- Expanded export markets to Hong Kong (2020).
- Authorised distributor for ZYfire Hose Corporation in Malaysia (2020).
2021
Certificate of Compliance
- First FM Approvals certification for Unique227 and Unique5112 fire suppression systems.
- Purchase orders to supply fire protection systems and equipment to 9 MRT 2 stations.
2022
Listed on ACE Market
- Unique Fire is proudly listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
2024
Venture Agreement
- Entered into a joint venture agreement with Shanghai Mosafe Equipment Co Ltd to exclusively distribute Mosafe fire sprinklers in South-East Asia
2025
Dual Milestones
- Finalising the plan for the development of a large scale solar photovoltaic plant in Perak with 95MW capacity and tenure of 21 years.

Our Story
Our Story
Unique Fire Holdings Berhad (“Unique Fire” or the “Group”) started off in 1997 as a distributor of fire protection systems, equipment and accessories. Since then, the Group has expanded its activities to include assembly and manufacture of active fire protection systems, equipment and accessories for built environment, as well as the distribution of custom graphics designed fire extinguishers and other active fire protection systems, equipment and accessories plus other related services.
Active fire protection refers to equipment and systems that need to be manually or automatically activated and applied in the event of a fire to perform its function. All equipment and systems should be maintained and serviced regularly for them to be effective.
